Binary8.com, a Chinese binary options and Forex broker, has announced today the start of a two-year partnership with racecar driver Ho-Pin Tung. The initiative was announced in conjunction with the release of Binary8's new Chinese website and brokering platform.
Ho-Pin Tung is a Dutch-born Chinese auto-racing driver. In 2010, he made history by becoming the first-ever Chinese driver in F1 after having been signed as the 3rd driver for the Renault F1 Team. In the following year, he became the first Chinese driver to compete in the Indy 500.
Since 2012,Tung has begun racing in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia and has become a regular race winner. He made his debut at the Le Mans 24 Hours in 2013 and finished in 12th place in 2014 while being the lead driver in the first-ever car with a full Chinese driver lineup in the 82 year history of the Le Mans 24 Hours race.

The deal was reportedly brokered by Mandaray, a Chinese global sports and celebrity marketing agency with offices in Shanghai and Hong Kong.
Over the last few years, forex and binary options brands have initiated sponsorships in popular sports such as motor racing, football, cycling and sailing. The firms usually hope that the popularity of the sport stars will signal to prospective traders that they are financially capable.
