Institutional digital asset exchange Seed CX, who are set to speak at our upcoming London Summit, told Finance Magnates on Tuesday that it has appointed a swathe of public directors to its different subsidiaries. Amongst those the exchange is onboarding is a former special assistant to the President of the United States and an ex-Credit Suisse Chief economist .
At Seed Digital Securities Market, which is seeking approval to become a broker-dealer in order to list security assets, the firm has appointed Cynthia Meyn as a public director. Meyn is currently Chief Operating Officer at investment firm Venerable and was formerly Executive Vice President, Operations, with investment manager PIMCO.
Seed SEF, Seed CXโs swaps Execution facility subsidiary, will have two new public directors. One is John D'Agostino, who is currently Chair of the US Asset Management Working Group in the US Department for International Trade.
Alongside him will be Bob Paul, former General Counsel for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Paul also worked as the Executive Vice President at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange .
Seed CX brings in ex-head of ICE
Perhaps the most exciting appointment is that of Seed Hash, Seed CXโs settlement subsidiary. Its new public director is Julie Myers-Wood, who is currently CEO of investigative and compliance consulting firm Guidepost Solutions.
Myers-Wood has an array of political experience, having worked as a federal prosecutor and headed up a division of the Department of Commerce. Most notably, she headed up the much maligned US Immigration and Customs Enforcement - otherwise known as ICE. She has also worked as a Special Assistant to the President of the US and as a Chief of Staff in the US Department of Justice.
Alongside her will be Kathleen Camilli, formerly Credit Suisse Asset Managementโs Chief US Economist. Currently Camilli heads up her own economic consulting firm, Camilli Economics.
