America’s leading theater chain, AMC announced today that the company has started accepting several digital assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin for online Payments . The company’s users now have the option to pay in crypto digitally.

Moreover, AMC has started taking payments through PayPal, Google Pay and Apple Pay. In a recent Tweet, Adam Aron, the Chief Executive Officer of AMC Theaters, mentioned that digital payment methods like Bitcoin, ETH and BCH are gaining popularity among clients.

“Big newsflash! As promised, many new ways NOW to pay online at AMC. We proudly now accept Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) [and] Litecoin (LTC). Also, Apple Pay, Google Pay [and] PayPal. Incredibly, they already account for 14% of our total online transactions! Dogecoin next,” Adam Aron tweeted.

Earlier this year, AMC announced that the company is planning to accept Cryptocurrencies . The global crypto community welcomed AMC’s decision and praised the company for its contribution towards the global adoption of digital currencies.

AMC and Shiba Inu

Amid the latest jump in retail interest for cryptocurrency Shiba Inu, AMC mentioned that the company is considering SHIB as a mode for payments. Aron recently ran a Twitter poll asking people about the possibility of accepting Shiba Inu as a payment method.

“As you know, you can now purchase AMC gift cards using cryptocurrency, and our IT group is writing code so that soon we can accept online payments in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Dogecoin, among others. Should we strive to take Shiba Inu too?” Aron asked in October. In terms of results, more than 80% of respondents supported the possible acceptance of Shiba Inu.

While SHIB’s bullish rally has lost momentum in the last few days, the enormous price jump of Shiba Inu in 2021 makes it one of the best-performing digital assets this year. As far as its market cap is concerned, Shiba Inu is more valuable than Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash.
