Another JPMorgan Manager Joins a Bitcoin Startup

Jacob Dienelt, a former manager at JPMorgan, has joined Blockchain technology startup Factom as Treasurer.

Factom is a startup that uses the blockchain to secure and timestamp documents and verify other business processes.

At JPMorgan, Dienelt managed a group of futures specialists in the bank's private wealth business.

David Johnston, Chairman of the Factom Foundation, said “As the world’s large companies and institutions begin adopting blockchain technology, it naturally follows that their top people will get involved in projects such as Factom in order to be leaders in that transition.”

Already while still at JPMorgan, Dienelt started a Bitcoin company, Lazzerbe, which makes paper bitcoin wallets. His LinkedIn summary states:

"To be part of the process of upgrading the world's payment rails with a decentralized, p2p system without massive efficiency loss."

Dienelt becomes of latest of several JPMorgan managers to have left for the Bitcoin world. They include Blythe Masters and Paul Camp.
