Binance has inked its first big sports sponsorship deal, becoming the main jersey sponsor of the Italian football club, SS Lazio. The two have entered into a multi-year partnership, according to the press release shared with Finance Magnates.
Additionally, the crypto Exchange giant launched a fan token platform with Lazio being its launch partner and the first sports club to launch fan tokens on it.
“Our agreement with Binance will allow us to extend our digital presence and connect with our fans and followers like never before,” said Claudio Lotito, President of Lazio. “Engaging our fan base with emerging technologies and harnessing the reach of Binance opens up new horizons for our club’s brand activation and future support. With the help of Binance, we seek to bring S.S. Lazio fans who are around the world closer to the club.”
Based in Rome, Lazio is a popular football club both at a domestic and international level. It has a history of more than a century and has won several top titles at the domestic and cross-continent levels.
Making the Brand Stronger
It is Binance’s first foray into the sports field, an area seen to be very lucrative for markering trading platforms. Several crypto companies have entered into massive deals in recent years to mark their brand presence in front of sports fans.
