A provider of blockchain-based investment products, Bitfinex Securities recently announced that it has expanded its presence in the global crypto ecosystem through the launch of trading on Blockstream Mining Note (BMN).
Working as a regulated investment exchange in Astana International Finance Center (AIFC), Bitfinex Securities mentioned that the newly launched product will facilitate accredited investors through exposure to Bitcoin mining.
With an aim to reduce costs and increase efficiency in the investment world, Bitfinex Securities is planning to launch innovative blockchain-based products. In a recent discussion with Cointelegraph, Paolo Ardoino, the CTO of Bitfinex Securities, mentioned that Bitfinex Securities is operating from a special economic zone in Kazakhstan, which has an independent court system.
“We’re delighted to ring the bell for the launch of trading for the BMN token. BMN embodies the type of ground-breaking disruptive fintech that will flourish on our securities platform,” Ardoino said.
Amid the growing global adoption of digital assets, Bitfinex witnessed an increase in demand for its services. Under a regulated framework, the company is planning to facilitate the adoption of tokenized products.
BMN
According to Adam Back, the Co-Founder and CEO at Blockstream, accredited investors will be able to take advantage of the rising opportunities in the Bitcoin ecosystem through BMN.
“By packaging mining in a tradable token, BMN provides investors with a more competitively priced instrument than a traditional investment in physical mining infrastructure where investors historically have seen high speculative valuations on public mining stocks far above asset value. By expanding investor participation in Bitcoin’s proof-of-work, the BMN also strengthens Bitcoin’s security and censorship resistance. BMN benefits investors while also supporting the broader bitcoin network,” Back said. BMN is available for trading through bitcoin (BMN/BTC) and US Dollars (BMN/USD).
To increase the support for its customers in Portugal, Bitfinex recently announced the availability of the company’s website in Portuguese.
