AlpFin’s Soren Klausen Joins PrimeXM as Head of Global Sales

Soren Rosenkrantz Klausen, the Sales Director at Alp Financial (AlpFin), has joined PrimeXM, a forex trading technology provider, as its Head of Global Sales.

Klausen, who joined the London-based broker, AlpFin in August 2020, departed from the brokerage after a career stay of two years and two months.

He announced his new appointment on Wednesday on the professional networking site, LinkedIn.

The executive is stepping in the shoes of Andreas Charalambous who departed PrimeXM in 2020 to join multi-asset liquidity provider Broctagon Fintech Group.

Klausen boasts 36 years of work experience in senior sales positions at Euronext FX, Bloomberg LP, Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Before Alp Financial, he was the Senior Sales Director at Integral Development Corporation, a forex-focused workflow management and advanced execution firm.

Industry Sales Veteran

Klausen kicked off his career in sales in the financial industry in August 1986 when he joined Danske Bank, a Danish multinational banking and financial services corporation. He spent over eight years at the company in a sales trading role.

Between 1995 and April 2002, he worked for JP Morgan Chase & Col, Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank in sales, forex advisory and as the Head of FX Sales in Northern Europe, respectively.

In May 2002, he joined the Bank of America Merill Lynch as the Head of Institutional FX Sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

He would stay in the role for almost seven years before joining Bloomberg LP as FX Sales Head for EMEA in April 2013.

Additionally, Klausen worked for Euronext FX as a Sales Director and later for Parabellum Markets LLP as the Head of Sales between April 2016 and January 2019.

On Wednesday, the industry recorded a number of role changes across the spectrum.

Crossover Markets Group, a startup providing an advanced digital assets marketplace for institutional investors, announced the appointment of Ralston Roberts, the CEO of the institutional agency-model broker, Instinet Incorporated, as its Strategic Advisor.

BankiFi, a fintech company that provides embedded banking solutions, also announced the hiring of Danny Piangerelli as its Chief Technology Officer. Piangerelli is to play a crucial role in enhancing the company’s solutions for the North American markets.

Furthermore, ZuluTrade, a popular copy trading platform owned by the Finvasia Group, promoted Efstathios Xenos to the position of the Vice President of Growth.

Xenos joined ZuluTrade in January 2022 and was previously the company's Head of the Institutional Department.

On top of that, big xyt, a smart data and analytic solutions provider, expanded its global executive team with the appointment of Anthony Huck as the Head of the Americas. Huck brings three decades of experience to the role.
