The online trading broker ATFX has announced the appointment of Drew Niv as its new Chief Strategy Officer.

In his new role at ATFX, Niv will report directly to the Chairman, Joe Li. Li welcomed the appointment, stating that Niv's experience will be invaluable as ATFX looks to grow and roll out new products and services.

“Drew's expertise will be instrumental in forming strategic partnerships that will drive our commitment to delivering unparalleled services that cater to the dynamic requirements of individual and institutional customers globally,” commented Li.

Drew Niv was one of the key speakers at the Finance Magnates London Summit 2023, where he discussed the current state and future of the FX industry. We also published his article on "razor-thin retail spreads," which are currently a challenge for CFD brokers.

We asked Niv about his future position at TraderTools, where he has been one of the executives since 2019. He confirmed that he remains in the role and will continue his current duties.

ATFX Continues Hiring Spree

Niv's appointment comes as part of a broader expansion strategy by ATFX, which holds licenses from regulators in the UK, Cyprus, UAE, Australia and South Africa. The broker aims to recruit top talent as a way to cement itself as a global trading firm.

Other recent high-profile moves by ATFX include:

Additionally, in November, Simon Naish was named as the new Country Head for ATFX Australia. Bringing a wealth of knowledge from the financial markets and a proven track record of developing and expanding offices, Naish is poised to propel ATFX Australia to unprecedented success.

ATFX is known for its focus on innovation and customer service. Past technological rollouts include blockchain and AI initiatives. With the addition of Niv, the broker hopes to enhance its trading infrastructure and product lineup further.

The movement was made one month after ATFX announced the finalization of Rakuten Securities Australia Pty Ltd.'s rebranding. Now operating under the name AT Global Markets (Australia) Pty Ltd, this rebranding effort includes the introduction of "ATFX" as the brand for retail clients and "ATFX Connect" for institutional clients across the Asia-Pacific area.

Concurrently, according to the Finance Magnates Q3 Intelligence Report, ATFX has achieved an important milestone by exceeding a total trading volume of more than $852.3 billion. This achievement not only places ATFX in the fourth position worldwide but marks an improvement over its performance in the previous quarter.
