Capex.com Onboards Vikas Lakhwani as GCC GM

Capex.com has strengthened its management-level positions with the latest appointment of Vikas Lakhwani as a GM for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. According to his Linkedin, he has already joined the brokerage and is based in Abu Dhabi.

A prominent name in the Middle East and North Africa region, the broker was established as CFD Global.com in 2016 and rebranded in 2019 as Capex.com. The platform's offerings are primarily trading services with forex and contracts for differences (CFDs) instruments of other popular asset classes.

Lakhwani's appointment came after Capex.com enhanced its services around cryptocurrencies . Recently, the broker received an in-principal cryptocurrency license from the regulator in Abu Dhabi.

On top of that, the brokerage is licensed by the Abu Dhabi Global Markets' Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) for offering traditional trading instruments. Apart from Abu Dhabi, It is operating in several other jurisdictions with licenses from the regulators in Cyprus, South Africa and Seychelles.

A Strategic Appointment

Lakhwani brings over a decade of experience working with brokers in their Middle East offices. He joined Capex.com from CPT International where he was the Chief Commercial Officer for one year and six months. Prior to that, he was with AxiCorp for four years. He joined the broker's Dubai offices as a Premium Client Manager and was later promoted to Head of MENA Sales.

Moreover, he spent about a couple of years at IG as a Sales Executive and another year and six months at Orient Financial Brokers as a Relationship Manager. He was stationed at the Dubai offices of both brokers.

He started his career in September 2011 at BNY Mellon as an Operations Executive and then joined Capita as a Finance Executive.

Furthermore, the Capex.com brand strengthened its presence in the MENA region with several other prominent hirings. Earlier this year, it added Fadi Reyad as a Market Analyst specific for the MENA region.
