Deutsche Bank's Asia-Pacific Head Departs
Jin Yee Young, the appointed Head of Deutsche Bank's private banking segment for the Asia Pacific region since January, has recently chosen to depart from the organization. His exit was made known via an internal memo that came to light on Thursday.
His vacated role is to be filled by Marco Pagliara, effective immediately, who will assume control over emerging markets, including the Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Latin America. Pagliara is not new to Deutsche Bank, having joined the German financial institution in 2019.
Circle Onboards Former CFTC Chair
Stablecoin issuer Circle has announced the appointment of Heath Tarbert as the new Chief Legal Officer and Head of Corporate, effective from 1 July 2023. The appointment came after Circle obtained a payment institution license in Singapore.
"As we continue building a bridge between traditional finance and Web3, Heath's perspective, legal acumen, and global regulatory experience will help us advance the utility value of USDC worldwide," said Jeremy Allaire, Circle's Co-Founder and CEO.
Tarbert will join Circle from Citadel Securities Group, where he has been the Chief Legal Officer for the past two years. He was also the Chair and Chief Executive of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission. He also served for a couple of years in roles at the US Department of the Treasury.
Exness Names New Global Head of Talent Acquisition
Cyrus-headquartered Exness promoted Mark Harrison as the Global Head of Talent Acquisition. He joined the broker in September 2017 and previously held the Head of Talent Acquisition role.
"I am truly honored to have this incredible opportunity to lead our global strategic initiatives and drive the recruitment efforts that will enable us to attract and acquire top talent from all around the world," Harrison added.
"This promotion marks a significant milestone in my career, and I am eager to take on the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead."
Harrison had a long career in the recruitment field and was part of the human resource team at the Finance Accreditation Agency, Citi, Huawei, and a few others.
Your Bourse Chooses New HR Manager
Your Bourse announced today (Tuesday) it is appointing Tetiana Dmitrieva as a new Human Resources (HR) Manager. In her previous post, Dmitrieva was working as an HR Recruiter for Fxview and served at Tixee in the past. She brings seven years of experience in sales and human resources; however, she has been involved with the investment industry for the last year.
"Today, I am thrilled to announce a significant step in my professional journey. I have made the decision to change both company and position, and I couldn't be more excited about the opportunities that lie ahead," Dmitrieva wrote on her LinkedIn profile.
Binance Appoints Rachel Conlan as VP of Global Marketing
Binance has appointed Rachel Conlan as the Vice President of Global Marketing to manage regional and global marketing teams, the crypto exchange announced on June 5.
In her new role, Conlan would "introduce more people to the blockchain, familiarizing them with Binance, and collectively building this very early-stage industry," Binance's Co-Founder, Yi He said. With experience heading Global Partnerships at CAA Sports and as a Global Chief Marketing Officer for Havas, Conlan is expected to steer Binanceβs partnerships.
Her work would also include collaborating with influential leaders on the role of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, Binance said.
CAPEX.com Promotes George Pavel
CAPEX.com has filled the role of General Manager of its Abu Dhabi office with the internal promotion of George Pavel. He was previously the Head of Partnerships and spent the last six years with the FX/CFDs broker.
"In this role, I'll be leading a talented team and working to drive growth and innovation for the company," Pavel wrote in a Linkedin post.
CAPEX.com received an in-principal Abu Dhabi crypto license last year. Additionally, it is regulated in Cyprus, South Africa, and Seychelles. Furthermore, the platform expanded its services earlier this year by launching real shares dealing.
