The former Regional Head of Business Development in the retail brokerage HF Markets, Nicolas Morphitis, has been appointed by BDSwiss, another renowned brand in the contracts for difference (CFDs) industry, to lead its global business development operations.

Throughout his 12-year career, Morphitis has been mainly associated with Cyprus. However, his adventure with the retail CFDs started relatively recently, in 2018, with the Marketing and Affiliate Manager position at Centralspot Trading Ltd. In 2019, he joined Instant Trading EU, the owner of the InstaForex brand, where he held the role of Head of Affiliation.

Moments later, he joined HF Markets, where he worked as the Regional Head of Business Development for over three years. In March 2023, he moved to BDSwiss to share his knowledge and experience as the Global Head of Business Development.

"I'm happy to share that I'm starting a new position as Global Head of Business Development at BDSwiss," Morphitis wrote on his Linkedin Profile. "Work takes on new meaning when you feel you are pointed in the right direction. Otherwise, it's just a job, and life is too short for that!"

Another HF Markets' Manager Moved to BDSwiss

The new BDSwiss' Global Head of Business Development thanked Andreas Andreou, the company's Chief Commercial Officer, for the opportunity to work for the brokerage. Andreou is in his second month in the role, having joined the company in February 2023. Like Morphitis, he previously worked for HF Markets, with which he has been associated since 2014.

Beyond HF Markets, the new BDSwiss CCO has worked for Cyprus-based brokers, IronFX and FXGM. While he served as an Institutional Account Manager at IronFX for eight months in 2013, he also worked at FXGM as a Sales Executive for a period of 18 months between August 2011 and January 2013.

BDSwiss On a Hiring Spree

BDSwiss bolstered its global team in the past year by bringing on board several new executives. In August, Finance Magnates reported that the broker intended to appoint Achilleas Achilleos, the Marketing Manager of AGP Law Firm in Cyprus, as its Chief Marketing Officer in early September. Additionally, BDSwiss hired Martha Leventi from AFX Group as a Business Development Manager in the same month.

Furthermore, BDSwiss appointed Andreas Andreou (a second employee with the same name) as its Chief Financial Officer based in Cyprus. After working at the auditing firm KPMG for 17 years, the experienced executive joined the brokerage firm.

Throughout the year, BDSwiss brought on several other executives to bolster its team. In January, Natale Mastoroudes, formerly at FXPrimus, was hired as the Head of HR. In March, Nicola Shamtanis was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer, followed by Abdulghani Khattab as the Marketing Head for MENA. In May, Andreas Neocleous joined as the Chief Operating Officer.
