Andrew Saks, a former editor of Finance Magnates, has been onboarded as the Head of Marketing at The People’s SCE, a decentrally governed organization (DGO).
Before the appointment, Saks was the Head of Research and Analysis at OvalX, a UK-based derivatives trading platform that recently rebranded from ETX Capital.
Earlier this month, Finance Magnates reported exclusively that Saks had departed his role at OvalX a year after starting out in April 2021.
Saks left OvalX after he sold FinanceFeeds which he founded in 2015.
According to his LinkedIn page, the ex-OvalX executive will be working from the DGO’s office in Luxembourg.
The DGO manages products and services built on top of the eCredits Blockchain.
Additionally, the company provides a legal framework for consumers and regional businesses to actively participate in decisions about the future of eCredits.
Varied Career in FX
Saks, an occasional speaker in the FX conference community, has been involved in financial technology senior for nearly three decades.
While he was at OvalX, Saks regularly provided commentary on financial and economic affairs on the mainstream media.
Between 2014 and 2015, he was the Managing Editor at LeapRate.
In 1994, he founded Palmira Solutions Limited, a software services consultancy.
The company, among other things, focused on institutional foreign exchange research and development as well as provisioning.
