FXCubic, a London & Limassol-based connectivity technology provider for the forex industry, has promoted Wassim Khateeb to the position of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
Khateeb announced his promotion on Monday on the professional networking platform, Linkedin.
He was previously the Head of Business Development for the company, a position he started in February 2021.
The executive joined FXCubic in July 2018 as a Senior Business Development Manager.
Khateeb’s Dossier
Before joining FXCubic, Khateeb spent over three years outside the forex industry as the Co-Founder of a startup that helped people obtain compensation for flight delays of seven hours.
For over four years between July 2013 and December 2016, he worked at Hello Markets, a provider of white-label software solutions for the online trading industry.
He first worked as a Business Development Manager at Hello Markets for 13 months and was based in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Khateeb was later promoted to the position of the Managing Director of Hello Markets and was based in Limassol, Cyprus.
Between December 2011 and December 2012, he was a Junior Sales Manager at Ergo Insurance in Belgium.
FXCubic and Sports
FXCubic is a provider of technology tools to the forex industry that specializes in bridging, aggregation and risk management solutions for market actors.
To grow its presence and deepen its impact in the industry, FXCubic announced the FXCubic Mini-Football Tournament for the forex industry in May.
The technology provider explained that the goal was to deepen the relationship between professionals and stakeholders in the industry.
In June, the team of Sheer Markets emerged as the winner of the inaugural event after claiming victory over the team of FX Dealing Solutions' (FXDS).
Finance Magnates reports that the tournament, which took place at Wembley Mini Football in Ypsonas, Limassol, Cyprus, saw the participation of some of the biggest brands in the forex community.
Meanwhile, in March, FXCubic completed the integration of Refinitiv Elektron, a major financial data provider, into its platform.
Refinitiv provides access to more than 500 global exchanges, thousands of over-the-counter (OTC) markets and over 100 million financial instruments.
FXCubic said the move was targeted at enabling its clients to offer physical stock trading to their customers.
