HFM Hires Markets.com’s Yaqub Tale as Country Head in Kenya
HFM, a retail forex and CFDs brokerage that recently rebranded from HotForex, has appointed Yaqub Tale as its Head of Country in Kenya. Tale until the appointment was a Regional Business Consultant for East Africa at online trading provider, Markets.com, for nearly two years.
Tale, who brings about five years of trading industry experience to the new role, announced his appointment on Thursday through LinkedIn, noting that he is “ready to hit the ground running.”
According to his LinkedIn profile, Tale started out his journey in the trading industry in October 2018 as an Account Relationship Manager at EGM Securities. Later, he would rise to Head of Partnerships at the Kenya-based non-dealing forex brokerage in January 2020.
Deutsche Börse’s 360T Appoints Head of Sales for Central Europe
360T, one of Europe’s biggest institutional forex trading platforms, has elevated Sarah Pittroff to the position of Head of Sales for Central Europe. The executive announced her appointment through LinkedIn on Thursday.
Pittroff is a long-time executive of 360T, having joined the Deutsche Börse Group’s global FX unit in July 2010 as a Key Account Manager for Germany. She served as the Head of Corporate Sales for Germany over the past five years.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Pittroff previously worked for Bloomberg between 2007 and 2010 as Account Manager for Financial Sales.
Mary Anne Wiley Selected as New Chair of Nasdaq Canada
Nasdaq has appointed Mary Anne Wiley, the Director and Chair of the Nominating Committee of Nasdaq Canada, as the new Chair of the Canadian Exchange Board. Wiley, who is the Former Managing Director and Head of iShares Canada at BlackRock, replaces Michael Foulkes who has retired after serving as the Chair of the Board since 2018, Nasdaq said on Thursday.
The former MD’s appointment caps other selections made to the Board of Directors, Nasdaq said. The other appointments include Susan Monteith and Gerry Throop as Independent Directors and Dan Kessou as the Director and Chief Executive Officer. Furthermore, Tal Cohen and Kevin Kennedy were tapped as Directors.
Nasdaq Canada was established to extend Nasdaq's North American trading platform in Canada.
4OTC Onboards Rob Wing as Head of Digital Assets
4OTC, a digital assets and forex connectivity services provider, has strengthened its executive team with the latest appointment of industry veteran Rob Wing as the Head of Digital Assets.
The London-based company provides technology to address the challenges trading desks face in the forex and digital asset markets. Its flagship 1API connects to multiple liquidity providers of forex and crypto markets, offering low latency, highly scalable, and secure connectivity.

Tools for Brokers Elevates Michael Levine to UK Head
Tools for Brokers has promoted Michael Levine as the Head of its United Kingdom office. Levine previously held the role of Vice President of Sales UK.
According to the press release shared with Finance Magnates, the appointment came with the company's focus on internal restructuring and restructuring global operations.

Equiti Capital UK Names Steve Reeves as New Chair
Equiti Capital UK announced the appointment of Steve Reeves as Chair of the UK Board on Wednesday. Reeves joined the Equiti Capital Board in July 2022 as a Non-Executive Director.
Reeves brought over three decades of experience when he held significant roles in several financial services companies. He has an extensive background in trading and broking, covering forex, equities, commodities, CFDs, derivatives, financial spread betting, and the EMI and payment services sectors, which aligns with the offerings of Equiti.

BDSwiss Onboards New MENA Business Development Head
FX/CFDs broker, BDSwiss has hired Hassan Ibrahim as the new Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Head of Business Development, who will play a key role in the broker's expansion in the region.
He will be responsible for developing and strengthening relationships with clients and partners of BDSwiss in the GCC region. Moreover, he will create and execute plans to grow the business.
"The MENA region presents immense opportunities, and I am confident that with BDSwiss' already strong brand and expertise, we will continue to thrive in the region," Ibrahim said.
HKEX Names Data and Analytics Co-Head
On Wednesday, Hong Kong Exchange & Clearing Limited (HKEX) announced the appointment of Patrick Khong as the Managing Director and Co-Head of Data and Analytics. He joined the firm from Hang Seng Bank and previously worked at HSBC.
In the new role, Khong will drive HKEX's data management strategy and oversee its data governance and design. Further, he will work on the delivery of data and analytics technology initiatives.
"His experience will be invaluable to us as we continuously look to strengthen our data infrastructure, drive operational efficiency, innovate to deliver greater opportunity for HKEX and our customers and execute on our strategy to connect today with tomorrow," said Richard Leung, HKEX Group's Chief Technology Officer.
Hantec Markets to Launch Institutional Arm, Hires Institutional Sales Head
Hantec Markets Limited has disclosed plans to launch Hantec Prime, a forex and CFDs trading offering for institutional investors. Ahead of the launch, the brokerage has hired Lee Holmes as its Head of Institutional Sales.
In a press statement shared with Finance Magnates on Tuesday, the brokerage explained that Holmes will spearhead efforts to build out and manage its business development activities across the global markets. Holmes joins the broker with more than 12 years of forex and derivatives industry experience.

Exclusive: Natalya Maxumova Rejoins Exness as Head of Development
Exness announced that Natalya Maxumova rejoined the company as the Head of Development for Partnership Programs & Marketing Teams. Earlier, she worked with the broker for more than seven years until December 2020.
In the latest role, Maxumova will be responsible for strengthening Exness’ technology divisions. She will oversee a number of technology teams, including Partnership Product, Partnership Digital Affiliates, Partnership Introducing Brokers, Partnership Platform, Digital Marketing Technologies, and In-house Anti-fraud.

GCEX Onboards Ex-Saxo Executive to Push European Growth
GCEX announced the appointment of Tilman Schultz as the Head of Partnerships. He will be in change of accelerating the company’s growth in Europe, particularly the recently launched XplorDigital trading solutions.
Last month, the company launched its two trading platforms under the XplorDigital suit to foray into the trading technology space. XplorSpot is a digital asset trading platform developed to serve institutional and professional clients, and XplorTrader is for margin forex and contracts for differences trading.

XS.com Hires South Africa Country Director
XS.com has expanded its team with the latest hiring of Chanelle Tsoka as the South African Country Director. Tsoka will be in charge of the broker's African expansion efforts.
In the role, Tsoka will lead the regional operations and will be leading a team of business development managers, customer service representatives, and marketing specialists.
