Telecom for Forex Industry

Omega Telecom founded in 2006 is a licensed Telephone Company based in Cyprus. Since the beginning we have focused on providing cutting edge services to the business market. As the Forex industry developed we developed a close role with the industry as the leading supplier of Telecom Solutions tailored to Forex companies. Today we have customers all over Europe and the Middle East and we are currently expanding into Asia.

Since your sales force is only as good as your phone system, we consider ourselves an integral part of the industry. Over the years we have become very familiar with the particular needs of the industry and have developed specific solutions to meet these needs.

Most of our customers target multiple geographical markets and for them we provide phone numbers in over 60 countries, usually immediately from stock.

Research has shown that the answer rate to phone calls by customers will go up tens of percent if they see a local callerID. When we realised that, back in 2009 we developed “Dynamic CallerID”. The way it works is really very simple. The salesman in the Call Center dials a customer, our system looks at the call on the fly and based on the destination inserts a real local number. In the case that the customer does not answer he can call back that number to reach the call center, so no calls are missed.

Dynamic CallerID is just one of the solutions we have developed to help Forex and Binary Options companies make more sales.

How did you arrive at your current position, and what expertise do you offer the Forex Industry:

I have been an active technology entrepreneur since 1984. Around 10 years ago I realized that IP Telephony will open up many opportunities and headed in that direction. In addition to Omega Telecom, I initiated and invested together with my partners in VoIP companies in the USA, Europe and the Middle East. My passion is to take new technologies and use them to solve real business problems.

Please elaborate on your industry experience, and what you have have achieved since being appointed CEO.

We started working Ava Trade in 2007. They were our first Forex customer. We really didn't know too much about the industry then. It seemed real weird to me. Since then the industry has grown tremendously and now count many of the leading Forex & Binary Options companies as our customers.

What are your present issues and challenges and what is your plan to steer the company through them successfully?

Our main challenge is that many new companies are joining the competitive Forex industry and they do not always realize the importance of their phone system. Often customers will setup their corporate structure, hire personnel, rent offices, install computer systems and then order a phone system as an after thought. I see it as my job to educate the industry on the importance of the phone system and how they can use it to enhance their profitability.

As industry is well known to be highly competitive, what means do you use to survive and to excel in such a fast and sometimes harsh environment (except for collaboration with Forex Magnates Directory of course ;)?

We try to be constantly in the customers eyes. That is why we are regular exhibitors at IFXEXPO and advertisers on the Forex Magnate properties. Above all we strive to provide great service. That is why most of our customers actually reach us as referrals from happy customers. At the end of the day, companies want to be sure that they are entrusting their phone service to a reliable company.

Does your company focus on the domestic market or does it have a global presence?

Omega has switches in Nicosia, Paris, London and New York. As the Forex market expands we are expanding with it. We are currently investigating setting up a local switch in Hong Kong.

What is your company’s plan for the next two years? Please detail any expansions, technological developments, mergers/acqusitions or proposed entries into new markets.

We are constantly on the outlook to purchase companies in our industry. We have found that that is the quickest way to grow.
