Finance Magnates has learned that John Reed resigned as Chairman of ActivTrades and moved to chair another business entity with ties to Alex Pusco, the CEO and founder of the company.
According to a statement sent by the company, the decision was mutually agreed upon and planned in advance.
“ActivTrades would like to announce that John Reed will be moving from his position as a Chairman of ActivTrades to Chair another business entity with ties to Alex Pusco, CEO and founder of ActivTrades. Mr. Reed’s decision was mutually agreed upon and planned in advance. John Reed will be succeeded as Chairman of ActivTrades by Patrick Storey, who has been on the Board of ActivTrades as an Independent Non-Executive Director since October 2017,” the statement sent to Finance Magnates reads.
Reed has been the company Chairman since November 2016, where he held the position for over five years. In addition, according to his LinkedIn profile, he held roles as Chairman at EFG Private Bank Limited for over seven years, where he was the Chair of the Nominations Committee and a Member of the Risk and the Remuneration Committee.
For over 10 years, he worked as a Non-Executive Director and the Chair of the Audit and Compliance Committee for the Bank of the Phillippine Islands (Europe) PLC. Additionally, Reed was a Non-Executive Director at VDC Trading Ltd for over five years.
Between 2003 and 2014, Reed was a Non-Executive Director and a Member of the Risk Committee and Credit Committee at Arbuthnot Latham & Co. Ltd.
