Finance Magnates has learned that Julia Maschkow has been appointed as the Finance Director at Vanguard Group Europe. According to an update on LinkedIn, she will be based in Frankfurt, Germany.
Prior to joining Vanguard Group Europe, Maschkow worked for IG Group as the Managing Director and Board Member, as well as the Head of Finance. Moreover, she was employed by Credit Suisse for over four years as Director for the Brexit project and as Finance Director in the EMEA Finance Department.
Additionally, Maschkow worked for Deutsche Bank for over seven years in the Treasury and held various positions in Group Finance. In 2007, she was in a full-time placement in the bank in the Cash Management and Sales department.
Her experience includes working for UniCredit Bank in the External and Management Board Reporting in 2006. Also, Maschkow was in the University of Regensburg, working in the Financial Accounting and Audit sphere.
According to her educational background, Maschkow has a diploma in Corporate Finance and Financial Accounting from the University of Regensburg in Germany. Moreover, she has studied Business Administration and Management at the University of South Wales.

Sam Horowitz Joining CMC Markets Connect
In recent executive moves, Sam Horowitz joined CMC Markets Connect as the Head of FX Distribution and Liquidity Management. Before becoming a part of the institutional team, Horowitz had advised CMC Markets on their wholesale expansion.During his 30-year career in financial services, he has built and managed trading businesses at Rabobank, UBS Asset Management, Louis Capital FX, Lloyds Bank and Marex Spectron, before joining BBVA to lead Global Markets eFX Trading.
During his tenure at BBVA, Horowitz worked as the Head of Automated Trading and Risk, and as the Vice President of e-FX Trading.
