Citi’s London office has on-boarded Ayesa Latif as Head of EMEA eFX Investor Sales. The experienced new hire for the bank comes from another heavyweight in the industry - Goldman Sachs.

Mrs Latif started her career in the financial sector in 2008 as an analyst at the firm’s prime brokerage unit. Working her way up through various positions in eFX sales roles, she was last serving at Goldman Sachs as Co-Head of EMEA eFX Sales.

Latif will be reporting to Citi’s Global Head of Investor e-Sales Ala’a Saeed. Her new responsibilities in the position include contacts with banks, leveraged and real money clients segments across the EMEA region.

The growth of the industry in the region in recent years has been imploding with a number of institutions actively seeking exposure to the electronic foreign Exchange market.

eFX sales professionals are typically delivering global coverage to its clients and provide access to a range of services including news and Execution on a 24-hour basis. Some team members are focusing on specific types of clients such as banks or hedge funds, while others are broadly covering various sorts of investors which are best suited to their specific skills and knowledge of the market.
