Jeremy Smart to Part Ways with RBS, Join XTX Markets

Jeremy Smart is slated to join XTX Markets having relinquished his role as the Head of Fixed-Income Electronic Distribution at RBS, in a move that will see him join the group in March, Finance Magnates has learned.

Mr. Smart has been a mainstay at RBS for the past few years, working as its Head of Fixed-Income Electronic Distribution for a period of three years. Prior to joining RBS in 2012, he worked at Morgan Stanley as its Head of Fixed Income Electronic Distribution in Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, dating back to 2005.

Additional stops also include Deutsche Bank, where he specialized in the group’s foreign exchange and e-commerce unit in London for nearly a decade.

The move represents the latest addition to XTX Markets, which earlier this week appointed Jigar Patel as the newest addition to its Business Development Team, who will be heading the group’s e-Commodities operations. Mr. Patel joins XTX Markets from Goldman Sachs, having worked in a similar role in its e-Commodities team for over five years.
