Macquarie Securities, the institutional Equities subsidiary of Macquarie Group, has made two new senior two appointments to its US equities sales and trading business, according to a Macquarie statement.

Macquarie Securities has secured the services of Joseph Cacciabaudo, who will join the group as its newest Managing Director, where he will oversee its US Execution platform. In addition, his mandate will be the management including the US platform’s sales trading and trading effort.

Mr. Cacciabaudo joins Macquarie with more than two decades of industry experience – his most recent stop was Sterne Agee, having worked as its head of equity trading and institutional options. He also worked in Citigroup in a variety of equities-specific roles.

Alternatively, Peter McQuaid will also join Macquarie as its newest Vice President in Equities Trading. Mr. McQuaid has also garnered over two decades of experience, namely in the institutional realm – previous stops include Sterne Agee, Jefferies, and Credit Suisse.

According to Austin Graham, Managing Director and Co-Head of US Equities, in a recent statement on the appointments, “I’m delighted to welcome JT and Peter to our US equities platform. Their extensive experience in sales trading and trading, as seen in their industry knowledge and commitment to client service, extends the capabilities of our execution platform and further advances our growing equities business.”
