Options Technology, a provider of capital markets infrastructure solutions, has announced the appointment of James Hardcastle as their new Vice President and Head of Sales for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. With over two decades of experience in the industry, Hardcastle brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role.

Former Fidessa Executive Joins Options as VP Head of Sales

Hardcastle's career spans more than 25 years in the capital markets industry, focusing on software SaaS, hardware, infrastructure IaaS, and managed services within both traditional finance (TradFi) and emerging finance (DeFi and CeFi) markets. Having spent over 20 years in the APAC region, he has cultivated relationships and insights into the area's diverse markets and client needs.

"The products, the people and the strategy are world-class, and I look forward to working with them as the company enters its next phase of growth and development in the region,” Hardcastle commented.

Before joining Options Technology, Hardcastle held key leadership positions at several renowned organizations, including R3 (Corda), Colt Technology Services, and Fidessa. During his tenure at Colt MarketPrizm, he was responsible for the successful build-out across APAC, leading to significant growth for the business.

He devoted nearly 18 years, at Fidessa, initially serving as Head of International Sales in Japan before transitioning to the role of Head of Sales in Australia for the last six years of his tenure.

Driving Sales Growth and Expansion

In his new role as Vice President and Head of Sales for APAC, Hardcastle will drive sales growth and expand Options' market presence across the region.

"Throughout his career, James has demonstrated a proven track record of consistently delivering exceptional results in large, complex, multi-million dollar sales environments. We are delighted to welcome him to the team,” Danny Moore, the President and CEO of Options, commented, expressing his confidence in Hardcastle.

Hardcastle's appointment comes at a pivotal time for Options Technology, which continues expanding its presence in the APAC region.

This is another personnel move for Options Technology in the past two months. In mid-February, the company appointed Marlena Efstratopoulou as its Chief Information Security Officer. With her experience in cybersecurity and risk management, the company aims to integrate security and risk functions with Efstratopoulou's appointment.

At the end of December, Laura McCann was promoted to the position of Chief Financial Officer. McCann had previously served as the Vice President of Corporate Controller from 2016.
