ActivTrades, the London-headquartered online trading services provider, has promoted Vikesh Kumar Purohit to the Head of UK and DACH Markets. He is based in London and has already taken over the new role and responsibilities.

"I'm happy to share that I'm starting a new position as Head of UK and DACH Markets at ActivTrades!" Purohit wrote in a Linkedin post.

Vikesh Purohit Promoted at ActivTrades

Purohit received the promotion after spending more than three years with the brokerage. He joined ActivTrades in October 2019 and was a Senior Account Manager before the promotion. In addition, he spent about three years with the broker in a sales-related role between October 2014 and August 2017.

His experience in the online trading industry spans over a decade. He entered the sector with a role at IG, a major London-based brand providing counterparty trading services. There, he worked only for six months with IG's trading services desk for Germany, providing customers calculations to demonstrate key features of several trading types.

Then, he spent a year with HCA International before moving back to the online trading industry. Between his two tenures at ActivTrades, he was the Sales Manager DACH-Region at the London Capital Group for a year and then a Senior Sales Manager at ATFX for another ten months.

ActivTrades Solidifies Stance as a Global Broker

ActivTrades was established in 2001 by Alex Pusco, who is still heading the brokerage group as its Chief Executive Officer. It operates both inside and outside the United Kingdom and provides counterparty trading services with instruments of forex and other popular asset classes. Additionally, it provides spread betting services for traders within the United Kingdom.

The broker's business has jumped exponentially in recent years and generated a record £46.5 million in revenue in 2020. Though the figure dropped to £30 million in 2021, market recovery pushed its turnover higher and was estimated to close the first half of 2022 with a revenue of £32 million and a pre-tax profit of £19 million. However, the broker has not revealed the official figures yet.

Earlier this year, ActivTrades appointed Patrick Storey as the new Chairman following the resignation of John Reed.
