Australian multi-asset online broker, ACY Securities, has appointed a new Head of Global Brokerage this Monday, with foreign Exchange (Forex ) professional Alla Darwish taking on the role.
As the Head of Global Brokerage, Darwish will be in charge of recruiting, managing, and growing the business development teams both in Australia, as well as around the world, where the company operates.
Darwish formally took on his new role at ACY Securities last month. He joined the firm with 12 years of experience in sales and business development in the global FX and CFD markets.
Commenting on the appointment, Co-founder and Co-director Jimmy Ye said: “We are very pleased to have Alla Darwish on board. He brings a wealth of experience in developing and managing highly successful sales and BD teams in markets around the world and his appointment will be instrumental in helping us execute our strategic plan in relation to our global expansion.”
During his career, Darwish has worked at a number of FX firms. Namely, he was the Senior Manager of Sales and Trading for the Asia Pacific and MENA Region at Vantage FX. He has also held roles at IFGM and APEX FX Trading.
“I’m absolutely delighted to join ACY Securities,” added Darwish. “Being an Australian-based global FX and CFD broker offering superior trading conditions at very low cost of trading, along with strong tech and operational structures, I see tremendous ongoing growth for the company in all key markets including in the APAC region, UK & Europe, MENA region and the Arabian Gulf.”
ACY Securities hiring spree
ACY Securities has been busy bolstering its team in recent months. In fact, the hiring of Darwish is the fourth executive appointment the broker has made in under six months.
As Finance Magnates reported, the broker recently hired Justin Pooni, who initially joined the firm as the Head of Marketing and Communications in July. Now, he is the Head of Branding & Communications and will oversee the company’s global brand presence, communications, and PR, following the appointment of Ashley Jessen as its Head of Marketing.
In August, the company managed to recruit Russell Sandiford as its Chief Market Analyst. Sandiford joins the company with more than 16 years worth of experience in the global FX, indices, and commodities markets.
