Derivatives and foreign Exchange (FX) broker Sucden Financial is shifting things up in its eFX trading division.

Finance Magnates learned on Monday that Alan Amari has joined the company’s FX trading team.

According to information on his LinkedIn profile, Amari will be working as a sales executive.

He joins the firm from Parabellum Markets, a London-based FX brokerage that operates using an electronic communication network model.

New head, new strategy

Amari spent almost five years at the company, joining as an analyst in mid-2015.

Shortly after he joined Parabellum Markets, Amari moved into the firm FX sales team. After that he spent the remainder of his time with the firm working in eFX sales.

According to FX Week, Amari will be reporting to Kirsty Gillies, global head of eFX sales at Sucden Financial, in his new role with the broker.

Gillies is herself fairly new to the job.

As Finance Magnates reported in November of last year, she took up her role after spending almost a decade with UBS.

At the time, Gillies hinted that she would be making changes to Sucden Financial’s FX trading team.

“I am delighted to join the team at Sucden Financial,” she said in November.

“I look forward to further strengthening the firm’s position on a global level and using my skills and experience to advance the sales strategy for the eFX division.”
