Amana Capital announced on Wednesday the appointment of Joy Dabeet as the broker’s new Chief Marketing Officer. It is one of the many leadership role hires of the trading platform over the recent months.

Dabeet is an experienced marketer with more than 15 years of experience in advertising and marketing.

At Amana, she will spearhead the company’s marketing, communications, product innovation, advertising and brand digital marketing initiatives. Further, she will work closely with the operations team for driving sales.

“Joy is a highly-experienced and talented marketing leader with a proven track record of building and modernizing the region’s most well-known brands,” said Amana’s CEO, Muhammad Rasoul, who took up the apex role last September.

“With her extensive brand transformation experience, consumer-centric approach to both marketing and communications, and ability to build and inspire teams, I am more than confident that she will propel Amana Capital to the next level.”

Marketing across MENA

Before joining Amana, Dabeet was Amazon’s Marketing Manager for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Based in Dubai, she spent almost five years in the role and was responsible for the promotion, positioning and marketing of Amazon’s application-centric services.

Further, she had a year-long stint as a Senior Marketing Specialist at Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority (RTA). Moreover, she held marketing roles at companies like United Arab Investors, Aramex and a few other media entities.

“I am thrilled to be joining the very talented team at Amana at such a pivotal moment for the brand,” Dabeet said in a statement. “I believe that the firm’s potential is unlimited, and I look forward to working with the entire team to build and accelerate the brand’s momentum in the future to come.”
