Amana Capital, a brokerage with a significant presence in the Middle East, has promoted Fayez Alkhouli as the company’s new Vice President of Sales. He joined the company last year as a Senior Sales Executive and is based in Dubai.

“I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Vice President of Sales at Amana Capital!” Alkhouli wrote on Linkedin.

Alkhouli’s appointment came after the broker added a few big industry names to strengthen its leadership in recent months. Most recently, Amana hired an advertising and marketing specialist, Joy Dabeet as the company’s new Chief Marketing Officer. In addition, it onboarded Mani Sahota in March as the Chief Information Officer.

Solid Experience in the Region

Alkhouli is an experienced trading industry professional, having spent more than 16 years of his career at different brokers. He always worked in the Middle Eastern markets, which proves his expertise in the region.

Before joining Amana, he was an accounts manager with HYCM, a brokerage previously known as Henyep Capital Markets. Then, he was stationed in the Dubai office of the broker and spent more than ten years in the role.

Moreover, he started his career with HYCM in February 2006, according to his Linkedin profile. Then, he worked with the broker for more than three years and was a Senior Dealer based in Damascus, Syria.

In between his two tenures at HYCM, he spent a short stint as a Senior Dealer in another company.

Meanwhile, the Middle East and North Africa region has become one of the top trading spots. The regional regulators have come up with stringent laws that are attracting big brokerage names to set up a presence there. Many brokers have recently launched services in MENA, while others have made key appointments to boost their business in the region.
