Butterfield Group announced on Tuesday that it has appointed two new executives in key roles to its Trust Team. It has named Amy Glover as Vice President in London and Mark Farrell as Head of Trust in Singapore.
Recently announced in a press release, Amy Glover, who has experience finance and litigation, has been designated as Butterfield Group’s new Vice President of Strategic Relationships for the Group Trust. Located in London, she will be of intrinsic value in developing relationships between the trust and financial advisers serving high net worth clients, internationally.
Further, Mark Farrell, who has more than thirty years of experience in wealth planning and trust administration, has joined the organisation as Head of Trust at Butterfield Trust (Asia) Limited in Singapore. His responsibilities include leading the team in charge of the provision of trust and fiduciary services for high net value families located in the region.
Glover’s Work Background
Until recently, Glover fulfilled the role of Global Director of Private Client for ALM Media, LLC. In this position, she successfully managed the private client intermediary network. Further, she was vital to ensuring the triumphs of its Global Elite Membership Club. Before this promotion, she served as Director for ALM Media for almost two and a half years.
Earlier on, at IQPC Exchange , she took on the role of Legal where she stayed from May 2016 to August 2017. Also, she served in a similar post of Legal at IQPC for just over two years.
Additionally, she accomplished the duties in her role of Litigation at Vinson and Elkins during 2013. Further, at Texas Attorney General, she completed her internship back in 2010 where her career began.
A Look Back at Farrell’s Profession
For more than three decades, Farrell has been specialising in wealth planning and trust administration. He has extensive experience dealing with multi-jurisdictional families and advising on complex structuring for a wide variety of asset classes.
Farrell has held various senior roles for banks, law firms and trusts located in the UK, Switzerland and Singapore. This includes the Bank of Singapore, Asia's Global Private Bank as Head of Trusts/UHNW for over five years; and Credit Suisse and other institutions. In these senior management positions, he has acted as a key contact for significant client relationships.
Finally, he spent over seven years as a Trust Manager at Royal Bank of Scotland International. Having started the post in September 1985, he accomplished a great deal. Later, he travelled extensively on a sabbatical in Asia, South America and Africa for more than four years.
