ATFX (UK), an international online foreign exchange (forex) trading firm, has secured a new Head of Operations for its Institutional Desk - Matt Porter, Finance Magnates has learned.
Porter, joins the FCA-regulated broker from FIXI Plc, an FX broker which closed down its operations towards the end of last year. He has been with ATFX since March of this year and will be in charge of the operational aspects of its UK’s institutional business, the company confirmed to Finance Magnates.

During his career, Porter has also been employed at Morgan Stanley and Nat West/Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS). From these roles, he has gathered solid experience within the FX space, and, according to a comment from ATFX, will be a serious asset to the firm for its European operations.

Porter commenced his tenure with Morgan Stanley in July of 2000 as a Business Analyst, a position he held for more than eight years. In June of 2006, he was also named as a Project Manager, a role he held concurrently with his position of Business Analyst until he left the firm in 2009, his LinkedIn states.
