Multi-regulated FX broker AxiCorp has promoted Louis Cooper to take on an expanded role as the group’s Chief Commercial Officer.
Mr. Cooper has served as the Global Head of Retail for the UK-licensed firm since September 2016, where he has been responsible for its global retail strategy and operations across sales, marketing, and client services. Also, in this role, he was tasked with client growth across key markets focusing on Australia, Southeast Asia, China, as well as the UK, Europe, and the Middle East.
Louis is also a member of AxiCorp’s global executive team and key contributor to global strategy across technology/Automation , new products/platforms, and new geographies/markets.
In his new capacity as the chief commercial officer (CCO), he will be in charge of more tasks related to marketing, sales, product development, and customer service to drive business growth and market share. In his corporate officer position, which combines his technical knowledge with marketing and business development skills, Mr. Cooper will continue to be based out of Sydney.
Previous stops at OANDA and CMC Markets
Mr. Cooper joined AxiCorp nearly three years ago with a lengthy resume in the financial services sector, coming from retail FX broker OANDA. During his time with OANDA, which dates back to 2013, he worked at the broker for over two years as its Managing Director of Australia and New Zealand. His responsibilities focused on both antipodean markets, helping build out the broker’s operations in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) ) region.
Prior to this role, he also served in a similar position at CMC Markets for over thirteen years, dating back to 1999, according to information made public on his Linkedin profile.
