BCS Global Markets Adds Deutsche Bank's Dmitry Trub as CIO

BCS Global Markets has a new Chief Information Officer (CIO), the largest independent securities broker on the Moscow Exchange (MOEX) announced this Tuesday, appointing Dmitry Trub to the position.

As the CIO, Dmitry will be in charge of driving software development in order to maximize the firm's investment banking functions. He will also be in charge of making the company’s institutional service more efficient.

In this new role, Trub will be based in the BCS headquarters, which can be found in Moscow, Russia. He will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Roman Lokhov, the statement said.

At BCS, Trub will also have the responsibility of developing and implementing BCS’ IT strategy. He will also be in charge of increasing the Automation level for providing client operations, regulatory reporting, and connecting new markets.

Trub joins the Russian market maker with nearly two decades worth of experience. During his career, he has held a number of positions in the financial industry, which have seen him develop and make decisions related to technically complex solutions for investment and corporate banking, the statement said.

Commenting on the appointment, the CEO of BCS said: “As one of the most high-tech companies in the financial sector, we put a focus on our investment bank's IT platform as a key factor in the development of our products and services for BCS GM’s institutional clients, as well as our for business development in Russia and internationally.

Trub joins the Russian firm from Deutsche Bank, where he spent almost eight years. Most recently, he was a Director and Head of Global Market Equities IT Russia. In this role, he was responsible for software development and stability of the production environment.

He originally joined Deutsche in September of 2011 Deutsche Bank’s Co-head of Trading Technologies for Russia Technology Centre. This including the management of a 300+ team of software engineers.
