Russian broker-dealer BCS Global Markets (BCS) has appointed Andrew Richards as their newest Director of its Prime Brokerage Sales team in the UK, according to a BCS statement.
In his new role as Director at BCS Global Markets, Mr. Richards will focus on working with high-frequency traders and proprietary trading firms with a penchant for arbitrage and hedge funds across the UK, Europe, and the US.
His mandates also include selling the firm’s flagship prime services offering, primarily Synthetic/Physical Prime & Execution . The synthetic prime platform can be used by institutions of all sizes including hedge funds which have been viewed as too small to work with by other prime brokerages.
Furthermore, he will be based in London, where he will be reporting to Tim Bevan, CEO of BCS UK. Andrew joins BCS from ING BANK, having served as a director of origination global security finance and synthetic prime brokerage. Additional stops include working as a prime brokerage relationship manager at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London.

BCS Global Markets, which is a division of Russia’s BCS Financial Group and a key broker on the Moscow Exchange , said in a statement that the new appointments come within a wider context of the strategic restructuring intended to strengthen the firm’s expansion and development plans in Europe and North America.
