The Germany-based foreign exchange (FX) and contracts for difference (CFD) broker BDSwiss has appointed Raphaël Coffin as its head of affiliate operations.

The appointment was a part of an internal promotion as Coffin has already been working for the firm for the last two years. He joined BDSwiss as an affiliate marketing manager, and prior to taking his current role, he served as a senior manager in the same department.

According to his Linkedin profile, he has many years of experience in the field of affiliate marketing. Before becoming a part of BDSwiss, Coffin spent two years at LOVOO GmbH in the same department.

By training, Coffin is a business expert with a degree in international business from the Foreign Trade University. He pursued masters in the same field from IDRAC Business School in France. Coffin started his professional career at Cubitabo GmbH as a web marketing assistant.

2018 - a Big Year

Last year, BDSwiss appointed Angelos Christofi as its global head of conversions. That appointment was made at a time when brokers within the European Union (EU) were struggling to keep their clients, following regulations implemented by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA).

2018 was a major year for BDSwiss as the company took steps to expand its operations both in Europe and in the overseas market. The company first stepped in the Asian market by opening an office at Kuala Lumpur followed by the launch of a new trading academy to educate traders

The brokerage firm also made an entry into mobile trading to meet the growing market demand in the sector.

Earlier this month, the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC ) flagged two websites belonging to foreign exchange (Forex ) related firms that it believed to be suspicious as one copied BDSwiss website and is operating as a clone of the firm.
