Bequant Picks Brett Reeves as Head of Sales for EMEA

In a LinkedIn post on 14 July, Brett Reeves, the former Executive Director of Prime Services Sales at Standard Chartered, confirmed that he has joined Bequant as the Head of Sales for EMEA. In the new role, he will facilitate the company’s expansion in the EMEA region.

Prior to joining Bequant, Reeves worked with Standard Chartered for approximately nine years. He spent more than two years at Citi as the Vice President of Prime Finance between June 2010 and August 2012.

“I am jumping into the world of crypto as Head of Sales for EMEA at BEQUANT, a market leading Prime Broker and Exchange in the digital asset space. I've been following the digital space for some time now and cannot wait to get started,” Reeves said.

“A number of people have been extremely welcoming as I looked at making the transition to crypto, but I’d like to pass on a big thank you to Dan Burke who has been extraordinarily welcoming. Listening to my questions and queries must have been painful at times, but the guidance was invaluable,” he added.

Reeves’ Professional Background

In his career of approximately two decades, the newly appointed Head of Sales for EMEA at Bequant has worked for several prominent financial giants. In 2003, Reeves joined UBS as a Credit Analyst and worked for the Swiss financial services provider for more than three years.

During his time at Commerzbank, he worked as the Director of OTC Client Clearing. Furthermore, Reeves spent time at Nomura International as an Associate for Capital Markets Prime Services.
