Announced on Thursday, she will develop the cryptocurrency exchange's presence in the United Kingdom and its further expansion in the European region. She will also focus on government relations and work with regulatory bodies to develop and implement best practices and policies to support compliant operations.

"I am honored to join our industry's leader organizing the world's crypto," Baker-Taylor said in her statement. "I'm incredibly excited to be a champion for Binance in the UK and Europe, and I'm looking forward to expanding our brand awareness, growing our user base, and supporting our vision to increase the freedom of money globally."

Leveraging her experience in both the traditional finance and digital asset industries, she will also focus on new business opportunities and partnerships in the UK.

A veteran in the financial markets

She is bringing more than 20 years of experience to the cryptocurrency industry from areas like commercial strategy, regulatory and governance advocacy, marketing, and communications within the digital assets and financial services sector.

She is joining the exchange from Global Digital Finance, where she held the position of an executive director. The organization is known for fostering global policy and governance for Blockchain and digital assets with policymakers, regulators, and industry participants.

"Teana's deep experience in financial markets and Regulation will further enable Binance to continue to build world-class products and services. We are thrilled to have Teana join the Binance team."
