The Bitfury Group, a Bitcoin mining giant and Blockchain transactions processing company, announced this Wednesday that it has expanded its team, by adding the co-founder of Korelya Capital, Antoine Dresch, to its board of directors and former member of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Annette Nazareth, to the company’s advisory board.

In his new role, Dresch joins Valery Vavilov, George Kikvadze, Bob Dykes, and Bill Tai as a voting member on Bitfury’s board. He joins the company with more than two decades worth of experience in investment banking.

Speaking on his new role, Dresch said: “I am delighted to be joining the Board of Bitfury, a leading technology platform in the Blockchain and AI space. I am thrilled to be working alongside a group of highly talented individuals, all animated by a great innovative spirit.”

During his long career, he has held positions at Goldman Sachs, UBS London, and Morgan Stanley in Europe. In 2012, he founded DDMA Ltd, a company which advises media and internet investors in Europe.

Annette Nazareth to help Bitfury navigate Regulation

On the advisory board, Nazareth will give Bitfury guidance on its growth, insight on financial markets and regulatory advancements. At present, she is in charge of Davis Polk & Wardwell’s Washington, D.C. office. Here she heads the firm’s Trading and Markets practice.

On her new position, Nazareth commented: “I could not be more pleased to have the opportunity to participate on the Bitfury advisory board alongside such knowledgeable individuals in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space.”

Her career includes working as SEC commissioner who saw her work on many initiatives. According to the statement, this includes execution quality disclosure rules, implementation of equities decimal pricing, short sale reforms, corporate debt transparency rules and the modernization of the national market system.
