BMLL Grows Sales Team with Hires from SocGen, Liquidnet

Data and Analytics provider, BMLL Technologies announced on Thursday the appointment of Neil Mackenzie and Phiona Tam as sales directors. According to the company, this will strengthen its sales division as demand for its products is increasing and support its ‘Go-to-Market’ strategy.

Mackenzie joined BMLL from Societe Generale. There he served as its director of quantitative electronic sales trading for more than five-and-a-half years.

Before that, he spent over six years with MF Global in various leadership roles, including global equities Execution specialist, European head of electronic trading services, and European head of equity trading and ETS.

He started his financial career with UBS and has brought almost two decades of industry experience to BMLL.

Commenting on his new role, Mackenzie said: “I am delighted to be joining an ambitious firm that brings cutting-edge data and analytics engineering to the market, allowing clients to analyze historical data in order to provide insight on trading performance and optimize existing workflows.”

Multiple Experts Joining the Team

Tam, on the other hand, joins the data and analytics firm from Liquidnet, where she worked as a product manager for electronic trading and specialized in algo and block trading products. Additionally, she spent years at Credit Suisse as a business analyst, technologist and developer.
