In this capacity he will be reporting to Isabelle Bourcier, BNP’s Head of ETF and Indexed Fund Activities. He steps into the new position only in September and will be based out of BNP’s Munich branch.

According to Ms. Bourcier in a recent statement on the appointment: “We are very pleased to welcome Claus Hecher to BNP Paribas Investment Partners. His extensive experience of the asset management industry, combined with his excellent knowledge of German-speaking markets, will be a considerable asset in the development of BNP Paribas Easy among investors in Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland.”

The appointment at BNP Paribas is the second this month, after the group brought in a new senior banker, recruiting Mick Wiedrick from JPMorgan to join the lender’s New York syndicate desk. The shuffling of senior banking personnel has been a continued trend in 2016, with global lenders in the UK, Europe, and the US each experiencing a flurry of moves.
