BNY Mellon, a global asset manager provider of financial and investment services, has strengthened its Board of Directors with two additions, electing Linda Z. Cook and Jennifer B. Morgan as its two newest independent directors, who both join the board with immediate effect, according to a BNY statement.

Per the additions of Ms. Cook and Morgan, BNY Mellon's Board will now boast fourteen total directors, of which thirteen are independent. In particular, Ms. Cook will join the Corporate Governance and Nominating and Risk Committees of BNY Mellon's Board of Directors.
She presently serves as the Managing Director and member of the Executive Committee of EIG Global Energy Partners since 2014 β additionally she has worked for almost three decades at Royal Dutch Shell, working as the CEO of Shell Canada Limited, CEO of Shell Gas & Power and Executive VP of Finance, Strategy and HR for Shell's global Exploration and Production businesses.
Ms. Morgan will join the Audit and Technology Committees of BNY Mellon's Board of Directors. She previously served as President of SAP North America since 2014, having held a range of responsibilities including the company's strategy, revenue and customer success in the U.S. and Canada.
