One of the major players on the Australian market, AxiCorp Financial Services has appointed Rajesh Yohannan as new Chief Executive Officer. The firm's business includes retail foreign Exchange and CFDs trading brokerage AxiTrader, institutional FX focused AxiPrime and AxiSelect, and the company’s trader incubator arm acquired its new CEO from OANDA APAC.
Rajesh Yohannan will start at his new position today, succeeding the original founder of the firm Goran Drapac who will assume the position of Executive Chairman. He is relinquishing his position after founding AxiCorp 7 years ago and opening the company’s offices in Sydney, London and Dubai.

Commenting on the appointment, the founder of AxiCorp said: “I have been looking for the right CEO to replace me who will take AxiCorp (AxiTrader) through its next growth stages. I found that person in Rajesh Yohannan. Not only does he have an impeccable resume but he shares the same values and passion I have for the industry and the potential of AxiCorp (AxiTrader).”
Yohannan joins the company after a three year stint at OANDA as its Managing Director and CEO of the Asia Pacific region. While responsible for the Asian region he grew the broker’s presence materially.

Before joining OANDA, Yohannan rose through the ranks at Citibank, becoming Global Mobile Banking Head in 2011.
Earlier this month, OANDA hired Kazuaki Takabatake to fill in the APAC CEO and Managing Director position.
