XTX Markets, the largest non-bank Liquidity provider, has on-boarded Chan Wai Kin as its newest Head of Sales for Asia, securing the veteran sales specialist after lengthy stints at several leading lenders, according to a company statement.
XTX Markets is an electronic market maker company that delivers liquidity for foreign Exchange , commodities, derivatives and equity markets already present on 22 ECNs and exchanges. Mr. Wai Kin represents the group’s latest hire, who steps into his new role as the Head of Sales for Asia with immediate effect. In this capacity he will help steer the group’s Asian sales, whilst being strategically positioned in the region.
The hire of Mr. Wai Kin is the first in July and the latest since a pair of hires earlier this year after XTX Markets added Jeremy Smart and Jigar Patel. Mr. Wai Kin joins XTX Markets from Morgan Stanley, having served as its Head of FICC eCommerce for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Prior to this he also held senior roles at the eFX sales team in APAC, ex-Japan at Deutsche Bank.
According to Mr. Smart, Global Head of Sales at XTX Markets, in a recent statement on the appointment: “It’s a pleasure to welcome Wai Kin to the team. With the opening of our Singapore office – we have the ideal person, with a solid industry knowledge, to lead our continued growth in Asia.’’
