BTIG, a global financial services firm specializing in Institutional Trading , investment banking, research, and related brokerage services, announced this Tuesday that it has added a new member to its Prime Brokerage division - Steven Stich.

While the statement released today does not specify what the name of Stich’s new role is, according to his LinkedIn profile he is the Senior Vice President of the company’s Prime Brokerage unit.

In this new role, which sees Stich joining a company with more than 600 employees, he will be based in the company’s office in Dallas, Texas. More specifically, he will lead the firm's Prime Brokerage sales efforts across Texas and the Midwestern region of the US, the statement said. At BTIG Stich will report to Matthew Partain, Managing Director and Head of Prime Brokerage Sales.

Commenting on the appointment, Justin Press, Managing Director and Co-Head of BTIG Prime Brokerage said: “We are excited about Steve joining our team, and look forward to his contributions. Texas and the Midwest are strategically important markets for BTIG, and we believe that Steve will help us expand our footprint in the region."

Before working for BTIG, Stich was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of a financial technology firm in Dallas from June 2017 until January of this year. Prior to this, he held a number of senior roles at financial institutions.

His most recent role was Vice President of Private Client Advisor at US Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management. Here he worked for slightly under three years from October 2014 until June 2017 in Dallas, Texas, his LinkedIn states.

For more than 11 years, from September of 2003 until October 2014, Stich worked at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch as a Director within Prime Brokerage. While here, he helped to build the relationship management coverage team.
