Cantor Fitzgerald has announced a new round of expansionary hires to its Fixed Income team, culminating in the appointment of John Altier and Andrew Javorsky as the groupโs newest Managing Directors, according to a Cantor Fitzgerald statement.
In his new role as Managing Director, Mr. Altier will be tasked with the focusing on the US government agency and Treasury securities, two avenues that are instrumental to the Fixed Income market in the US. Alternatively, as Managing Director, Mr. Javorsky will focus on a comprehensive suite of mortgage products.
According to Shawn P. Matthews, Chief Executive Officer of Cantor Fitzgerald & Co., in a recent statement on the appointments, "We are very excited about the opportunity to add John and Andrew to our leading franchise.โ
Prior to joining Cantor Fitzgerald, Mr. Altier worked as a Partner at CRT Capital Group as well as at UBS in a similar role. By extension, Mr. Javorsky has landed at Cantor after a stint as Managing Director in mortgages and structured product sales at Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).

We expect John and Andrew will add depth to our capabilities and accelerate our growth in Mortgages and Rates," added John Baldo, Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Fixed Income Sales at Cantor Fitzgerald & Co., in an accompanying statement.
Last month, Cantor Fitzgerald bolstered its fixed income middle markets sales and trading team with the twin appointments of Kevin Bowen and David Ballard as Senior Vice Presidents (SVP).
