One of the world’s prominent providers of market infrastructure and tradeable products, Cboe Global Markets announced the expansion of its Data and Access Solution sales team today in the APAC region through the joining of Albert Torstensson, a former Business Development Manager at AlphaSights, as its Director of the company’s Data and Access Solutions division, APAC Market Data Sales.

In his new role, Torstensson will take care of Cboe’s rapid expansion in the region. The company is planning to increase its presence in Asia with innovative services. Cboe is offering a wide range of market data and analytics services in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.

Torstensson worked in several positions including the role of senior sales executive and project manager at Worldwide Business Research. The newly appointed director of Cboe’s Data and Access Solutions division, APAC will be based in Hong Kong. He will report to Kevin Maude, the Head of Market Data Sales at Cboe Global Markets.

“As Cboe continues to expand into new regions and markets around the world, we are focused on expanding our team to keep pace with growing customer demand globally for Cboe’s data and analytics. Albert brings strong client relationships and a deep understanding of the APAC markets, and we are excited to leverage his expertise to further serve new and existing customers in this region,” Maude said.

Expansion

To meet the growing demand, Cboe Global Markets has expanded its products and other technology offerings significantly in the last few years. The company has recently introduced Cboe Global Cloud, a new real-time, cloud-based market data streaming service that aims to optimize the efficiency and delivery of Cboe's data services for market participants globally.

Last month, Cboe Global Markets announced the enhancement of its Data and Access Solutions leadership team to position the business for global growth.
