San Francisco-based fintech firm Celo has announced the appointment of Chuck Kimble as its head of strategic partnerships.
At his new role, Kimble will lead the digital company's efforts "to bring better financial products to emerging markets and under-served populations around the world."
Commenting on his new role, Kimble said: “I’ve spent the vast majority of my career advancing digital Payments and I see tremendous opportunity for Celo to improve the livelihood of billions of people around the world who today are involuntarily detached from the global financial system."

An Experienced Strategist
Kimble is a payment industry veteran with around 17 years of experience. Before taking charge at Celo, he was serving as the head of partnerships at Circle. He led the company’s business development efforts to launch its Stablecoin which turned out to be a massive success.
Apart from Circle, he also served Dashlane for three years in a couple of leadership roles following his three years term at Square as the head of strategic partnership.
According to his Linkedin profile, Kimble is a trained marketing expert and started his career at Visa in 2012. He spent the majority of his career at the firm and served in various leadership roles like the US head of Citi relationship and head of sales for Canada.
