Christine Kiener Joins Saxo Markets as Head of Institutional Sales

In an official announcement on 15 August, Saxo Markets, the UK subsidiary of Saxo Bank, confirmed that the company has appointed Christine Kiener, the former EMEA Head of Enterprise Data Specialist Sales at Bloomberg, as its new Head of Institutional Sales.

With approximately two decades of experience in fintech sales, Kiener is one of the well-known names in the financial sector. She joins Saxo Markets from Bravura Solutions where she worked as the EMEA Head of Business Development.

Commenting on her appointment, Kiener said: “I have been very impressed by the strong track record, clear strategic pathway and ambition of the Saxo business. I am excited to start working with the team to further grow the institutional footprint which has been established in the UK.”

The details shared by Saxo Markets show that the newly appointed Head of Institutional Sales will be based in London. She will report to Charles White -Thomson, the CEO of Saxo Markets UK.

Expansion of Team

Saxo Markets has expanded its team significantly in the past few months to facilitate its growth. Earlier this year, the company picked Joanna Moberly as the Head of Legal. In April, Saxo Markets selected Ken Shih to lead Digital Wealth Services in Greater China.

Commenting on Kiener’s appointment, Charles White-Thomson, the CEO at Saxo Markets UK, said: “I am very pleased that Christine is joining Saxo. Her track record in managing a large book of work, key relationships and teams will be an important factor as we continue to grow our institutional business in the UK. Christine is one of several senior recent hires including Daniel Leis, Nicholas Wilcock, Michael Ridley and Joanna Moberly, recently appointed as the new Head of Legal and Company Secretary.”
