Crédit Agricole has managed to secure Jesse Bass, a professional within the foreign Exchange (Forex ) and trading industry, as a senior trader for emerging markets FX and rates, Finance Magnates has learned.

The move was made public via Bass’ LinkedIn profile, which states that he took on the new position at the French bank in September of this year and is based in the Greater New York City Area. The move was also reported by FX Week.

Bass ends his 15-year career with Standard Chartered

By joining Crédit Agricole, Bass has ended his 11-year-tenure at Standard Chartered Bank, having joined the company in September of 2008. His most recent role with the British multinational bank was Executive Director of emerging markets forex and rates trading.

However, this was not his first time with the British bank. In fact, prior to his 11-year stint with the UK bank, at the beginning of his career, he also spent slightly more than four years with Standard Chartered.

According to his LinkedIn, from June 2003 until August of 2007, he was also employed with the bank. This also appears to be the beginning of his career in the financial space. During this time with the firm, he was an associate director for rates trading.

During the one year period in between employment with Standard Chartered, Bass was working with the now-bust investment banking company Lehman Brothers, where he was the Vice President for local markets trading.

Not only does Bass have a lot of professional experience, but he also has a number of educational qualifications under his belt. Namely, before his career in the trading space commenced in 2003, Bass studied at two universities.

Firstly, he attended Northwestern University from 1994 until 1998, where he earnt a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics. He then went onto Columbia University’s Business School, where he graduated with an MBA of Finance in 2003.
