Credit Suisse, a Swiss-based financial services firm, has hired Dierk von Schuckmann as the new Chief Financial Officer for its asset management unit. According to Reuters, von Schuckmann comes from UBS as the financial institution is revamping its asset management.
His appointment will be effective starting November 1, according to a spokesperson quoted by the news agency. According to his LinkedIn profile, von Schuckmann has been working as Chief Financial Officer Asset Management for UBS for the last four years, but he had been employed in the firm for over ten years. He previously worked for over six years as Managing Director at Merrill Lunch.
Antonio Horta-Osorio, the new Chairman of Credit Suisse, expects to make several changes in both asset management and investment banking departments following a strain of negative manoeuvres witnessed over the last two years.
The executive promised to launch a new strategy by the end of the year to deal with times of crisis, which had already started with some executives departing the Swiss-based financial services firm. Also, Reuters said that Michael Rongetti, the current divisional Chief Financial Officer, was named Head of Asset Management Americas. At the same time, Min Huang was appointed as interim Head of Asset Management in the Asia-Pacific region. He will replace Michael Levin in the role.
