Crypto.com Promotes Eric Anziani to Chief Operating Officer

Crypto.com, a Payments and cryptocurrency platform, announced this Friday that it has promoted Eric Anziani to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO), having risen through the ranks of the company since joining in February of 2018.

Anziani initially joined the company last year as the Senior Vice President of Group Strategy. According to the statement released by the company, in this role, he demonstrated true leadership and a clear strategic vision, which has led to his promotion.

As the COO, he will be responsible for Strategy, Partnership, Product, Data Engineering & Analytics, Blockchain Integration & Research, and Growth. Anziani will also provide company-wide leadership and will guide Crypto.com in the execution of growth-focused strategies.

Commenting on his promotion, Anziani said: ”‘I’m thrilled to work alongside so many exceptionally talented colleagues to bring the vision of cryptocurrency in every wallet to life, as we continue to build and roll-out products that help drive cryptocurrency adoption.”

This is not the first promotion for Anziani at Crypto.com. In September of last year, he was promoted to Chief Strategy Officer, which was his most recent role before being names COO, his LinkedIn states.

Before he was working for the cryptocurrency platform, he was employed at a number of payments and well-known financial companies. Namely, he was the Senior Manager, Global Strategy APAC for PayPal for two years from 2014 until 2016. He was also an analyst at Goldman Sachs and an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company.
