Lukka Inc. has recently secured Dan Torrey as its new Head of Institutional Sales, effective immediately. Finance Magnates has discovered that Dan Torrey, a veteran institutional sales leader in the digital asset market, has been named as the new Head of Institutional Sales by Lukka, a global leader providing software and data solutions to the digital asset industry. A key part of his role at Lukka will involve working with customers that range across the entire crypto-asset ecosystem. Torrey's team will liaise with clients ranging from exchanges and trading firms to OTC desks, crypto-native funds, CPAs & accounting firms, miners, protocols and other leading players in the space. Notably, Lukka provides a variety of software and data solutions from pricing and reference data to middle and back-office tools. These software and data solutions solve complex fund accounting issues. Torrey brings more than twenty-five years of experience from Wall Street in sales, product and Liquidity management. He is a team leader and motivator, having managed through extensive organizational change with a deep multi asset-class background. Torrey’s Work Background

Prior to this hire, Torrey served as Head of Institutional Sales at Genesis Global Capital for over two years. In February 2019, he successfully led the Institutional Sales team in the Americas region, which included marketing to sales/onboarding to full relationship management. Earlier on, in April 2016 at Northern Trust Corporation, he held the position of Global Head of FX E-Commerce Sales. He oversaw all global aspects of client Execution , client pricing, account management and new business development across its range of execution services. Before that, ParFX (Tradition) hired Torrey as Head of Sales – NA. He was responsible for new business/sales for the Americas (sell-side and buy-side) for 15 months. While at EBS, he accomplished the responsibilities of Head of Sales -Americas. For almost eleven years, he managed the Americas sales team. This included covering all client segments and products and heading all new business efforts in the region and other duties. Moreover, he served as the Vice President of the ADR Division at the Bank of New York Over more than seven years, he drove sales for the Broker Marketing team of BNY ADR Division along with other requirements. Also, in 1994, he joined Hill and Knowlton as an Account Supervisor. One of his duties was managing corporate communications campaigns for global corporate clients, which he triumphed in over three years. Furthermore, as a Sales Associate at International Media Partners, Torrey led sales efforts across Emerging Markets for this media firm. For over three and a half years, he accomplished this in sales territories including Latin America, Central & Eastern Europe & Africa.
