OANDA Europe Limited, a UK subsidiary of OANDA Corporation, has undergone a shakeup in its ranks after choosing to part ways with its acting head and Managing Director of Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), Daniel Skowronski, Finance Magnates has learned.
Mr. Skowronski originally joined OANDA Europe back in 2014, having worked in one of its lead roles out of London for nearly three years. Prior to joining OANDA in May 2014, he also worked at Alpari UK as its CEO for over three years, dating back to June 2010.
Overall, Mr. Skowronski has over fifteen years of experience in the financial services space and Forex industry. In addition to senior stints at OANDA Europe and Alpari UK, he has also held roles at YIPO, Currenex, and IFX Markets, according to information made public on his Linkedin profile.
It is not clear who will immediately be replacing Mr. Skowronski at OANDA Europe – his resignation is tendered with immediate effect. The latest news of his departure follows on the heels of last month’s marquee move at OANDA after Ed Eger stepped down from his role as CEO after three years.
Since then, OANDA elevated its acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Vatsa Narasimha to the role of Chief Executive Officer to succeed Mr. Eger.
